Iveco: the new range of connected services and sustainable solutions

At Transpotec, IVECO will be showcasing new products designed for a market that is increasingly focused on safety, green economy and connected services. The entire range, updated in 2021, will be on display, with a range of offerings from heavy-duty trucks to VLCs. The leitmotif of the offer is sustainability, with particular attention to biomethane, and innovation, with increasingly connected services.

A large exhibition area in Hall 22 in which to talk about sustainability, innovation and digitalisation. IVECO participates in Transpotec presenting its new product range updated in 2021, starting with the Daily which, despite being the smallest of the brand, is a giant in its segment. A product that combines tradition and innovation, thanks to all the elements that, over the years, have made it a brand within the brand and thanks to the extraordinary product innovations presented last year, such as the new and exclusive AIR-PRO suspension, which adapts to the conditions of use to offer an extraordinarily smooth and safe ride for the driver and load, to the new 6-speed manual transmission, which offers an excellent driving experience with class-leading engagement and precision, new engines optimised for each task, and new memory foam seats that adapt to the driver to provide excellent comfort.

Another novelty, the entire IVECO WAY heavy duty range, completely updated. For long-haul heavy transport, the IVECO S-WAY is deployed, which is based on three pillars, productivity, sustainability and driving experience, being a vehicle that adapts to any type of task and technology, from the 490 hp engine, which improves performance, to the use of mature and available technologies such as natural gas and biomethane, essential resources in view of a carbon neutral transport.

In this regard, the stand also hosts the IVECO S-WAY CNG, which can also be used in LNG version, in order to improve fuel efficiency, making the IVECO S-WAY a champion of sustainability to the benefit of the environment and long-distance routes.

Today, more than ever, to ensure carbon neutral transport, it is appropriate to make energy choices that are truly capable of leading us towards the decarbonisation of the sector in a rapid, high-performance and efficient manner. All this is answered by biomethane, an available and technologically mature solution that does not require further investment and represents a great opportunity to be seized in terms of sustainability and productivity. As demonstrated by a recent CNR study, biomethane allows the creation of a circular economy with a reduction in CO2 of up to 121%, demonstrating that travelling by decreasing emissions is a paradox, but still possible. To give a voice to customers committed to sustainable transport, IVECO has selected the first IVECO Ambassadors, transport operators who share the brand's commitment to natural gas and contribute to protecting the environment through the use of IVECO vehicles powered by LNG and Bio-LNG in their fleets. Through this project, IVECO is offering stakeholders in the value chain to share their experiences with natural gas and the resulting benefits to their business. At Transpotec, the Italian Bio-Ambassadors awarded for their commitment to the decarbonisation process become the spokespeople for biomethane in a discussion and dialogue between the players in the energy transition.

The IVECO S-WAY is not only an example of sustainability, but also an icon of style, the inspiration for extraordinary customisations, such as the IVECO S-WAY TurboStar Special Edition, dedicated to the legendary vehicle of the 1980s, which will be on display at Transpotec after the success of the preview in Misano Adriatico.

The new products on show also include the IVECO T-WAY, the ideal vehicle for those who face the most demanding missions in the most extreme conditions, thanks to the perfect combination of robustness, reliability and comfort, as well as being designed to exceed all expectations in terms of productivity, payload capacity and safety, always up to the most demanding challenges.

On the other hand, for light off-road missions, the Brand offers theIVECO X-WAY, which guarantees maximum flexibility in customising the vehicle to meet any type of need. Its modular, mission-oriented approach, HI-TRACTION system and off-road capabilities ensure high productivity in any mission right up to the so-called "last mile".

Representing the medium-sized sector, the exhibition will feature the Eurocargo, the truck that appeals to the city and its inhabitants, also in a CNG version, thanks to the minimum environmental criteria introduced and the choice of increasingly green technologies for urban contexts.

Finally, for those who like to get on board in the future, it is possible to enter the world of IVECO connectivity, with a series of connected services that make life easier for drivers and floaters in a quick and safe way, from the constant and predictive monitoring of the Control Room, to the functionalities of the IVECO Driver Pal,  IVECO's pioneering digital travel companion created with Amazon Web Services and Amazon Alexa functions, tools that make IVECO vehicles a perfect combination of productivity and digitalisation.

All IVECO products are designed around the driver, the centre of the Brand's vision, who takes the opportunity of Transpotec to officially present the new premium assistance service IVECO Top Care, powered by connectivity and designed to ensure the quickest possible return of the vehicle to the road and to offer maximum support to the driver in case of unplanned downtime. As needed, included services will include medical care, parking, meals, hotels, and arranging for intermediate travel. The power of connectivity brings the Brand closer to its customers, who can thus count on efficiency, hospitality and operability.
