What is your company's role and mission?

For over thirty years we have been seeking out solutions and innovation in road transport, a sector that has become an industry and that - as we've seen in the recent past - is key to the Italy's economy and welfare. The fact that we are market leaders allows us to have a network of customers and partners ranging from small to large hauliers: this means we can have a clear understanding of their needs on a daily basis. That's why our mission is to always be there for transporters. It is this horizon that guides our work and inspires our actions, because we know about the issues faced on the road and we know how important it is to be present, not just when needed but at all times.

The world of transport is undergoing a real revolution, from energy transitioning to digitalisation and 4.0 solutions. What services are you offering in this dynamic market? Which are the most appreciated and which are faced with the most reluctance?

Right now the haulage industry is going through a complex period: rising fuel prices and general increases in fixed costs are leading to a full-on crisis in the sector. To support the market, FAI Service offers insight into its customers, both Italian and European, gained in over 30 years, as evidenced by the 10,000 companies that rely on our services today. We haven’t noticed any “reluctance” in any of the services offered to date, because this market insight allows us to offer numerous solutions, customised for each type of haulier, enabling the highest quality standards to be obtained in terms of safety, cost reduction, investment efficiency and environmental protection. One of the most appreciated, however, is telematics; having access to real-time data on vehicle location and services based on data from the tachograph can create a significant competitive advantage for haulage companies. These services include the ability to download data remotely, be connected to platforms that show driving hours, journey and break planning, fuel averages and more. At the trade fair, we’ll be announcing major news on this front and also on insurance solutions, with an innovative approach for the industry.
