The new XF, XG and XG+ will be on display in Hall 24 of Transpotec. This is also an opportunity to celebrate the title "International Truck of the Year 2022", which the models were awarded last November, for setting a new standard in the transport sector in terms of efficiency, safety and driving comfort.

These are the first vehicles to take advantage of the new European regulation on masses and dimensions. The only ones on the market that can boast a highly aerodynamic and attractive design that takes full advantage of the new possibilities offered by the regulation, they are at the top in terms of emissions reduction (CO2), road safety and driving comfort. The design of the new cabs optimally manages the airflow. The curved windscreen with its narrower, recessed side pillars, the elliptical side corner deflectors, the lower front cab conveyor and the lower front tyre deflector contribute to the vehicle's total aerodynamics, as do the optional cameras that replace the rear-view mirrors. No less important are the many measures taken to optimise airflow in the engine compartment and under the cabin. Among these, it's worth mentioning the enclosures around the intercooler and radiator, the aerodynamic diffusers and the enclosed wheel covers. The result is aerodynamics that are at least 19% better, contributing more than half of the overall 10% improvement in fuel efficiency.

Alongside the new generation of vehicles, DAF will be presenting one of its "Innovation Trucks" at Transpotec: the DAF CF FAN Electric. The CF Electric is a 6x2 third-axle steerable truck with 26 Ton mtt, designed for local distribution or refuse collection. The 100% electric vehicle uses VDL's advanced E-Power technology. At the heart of the ingenious powertrain is the 210 kW electric motor that draws power from the 170 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The CF Electric has a range of more than 200 kilometres and the partial quick recharge of the batteries in just 40 minutes, or the full one 1.5 hours. CF 100% Electric vehicles are already present and circulating in Europe. In addition to the chassis version, there is a 4x2 tractor version with 37 tonne mtt with the same technical characteristics, excellent for shuttle and local distribution work.

In line with "Start the Future," the DAF booth will also give space to the Virtual DAF Experience, an Augmented Reality area. Thanks to the new Oculus Quest 2 technology, you can enjoy a VR experience by immersing yourself entirely in the DAF world, with 6 degrees of freedom that allow you to move within the virtual space as if it were the real one.

All new DAF vehicles can also be road tested in the Largo Nazioni test drive area.

And for those interested in used vehicles, a selection of used DAF "First Choice" vehicles will be present in the Second-Hand Area (Outdoor area between Hall 18 and 22).
