Fai - presentation of the road transport manifesto for the european elections

Wed May 8th, at 12:00, in the Arena room - pavilion 14, FAI - Italian Road Transport Federation, is organizing a press conference to present the Manifesto drawn up in view of the European elections of 8 and 9 June 2024. The paper aims to bring to the attention of political players the priorities and expectations of road transport companies for the next European legislation with respect to topics such as: infrastructures, access to the profession, Alpine passes, digitalisation, environmental sustainability, compliance with the rules. FAI President Paolo Uggè and the Secretary General Carlotta Caponi will attend the press conference. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructures, Matteo Salvini, was also invited.

The press conference will also be an opportunity to announce the publication of a book that traces back the history of Italian road transport industry, through the public and personal events of one of the leading figure of the associative world.

Organised by VDO in cooperation with the Comitato Centrale dell’Albo dell’Autotrasporto the event will also host the Italian Road Police Authority and UNRAE to debate how road safety and competitive sustainability may be two factors of success for the commercial road transport sector, within a scenario where the continuous legislative evolution, technological transformation of both vehicles and the tachograph ecosystem, not least new practices heading towards Smart Enforcement are observed.
